The World is Crazy

The World Is Crazy

Our Current State of Affairs

The world is crazy: Does your gut tell you something feels off lately? You’re not alone. In today’s world of instant news, we know more about global events than ever before. Yet, even with all that information, life seems increasingly chaotic and confusing.

Somewhere along the way, society lost its ability to engage in civil dialogue. Once, people could disagree respectfully. Now, those with opposing views are attacked or shamed. Sadly, hostility has replaced discussion, and understanding has given way to outrage.

The Economy

Another strange contradiction lies in the economy. The stock market keeps rising, yet gold prices are also surging. Normally, that shouldn’t happen together. Still, it’s happening now, and it signals deeper issues beneath the surface.

The Federal Reserve is not actually “federal.” It’s a private entity with the authority to create money out of thin air. Meanwhile, central banks around the world are buying gold aggressively. Countries like Russia and China are dumping U.S. Treasuries while hoarding precious metals and rare earth elements. Because of this, global currencies, including the dollar, are losing real value.

How long will the United States dollar remain the world’s reserve currency? The true purchasing power keeps falling. Every trip to the store proves it takes more money to buy the same things. Inflation quietly erodes what we’ve worked hard to earn.

What To Do?

When I think about all this, I keep asking myself what I should do to protect my family. The question feels both urgent and deeply personal. Finding peace in the answer, however, isn’t easy.

I remind myself that God is in control. Most global events are beyond my power to change. He tells believers to trust fully in Him—period. Worrying changes nothing, yet using the mind He gave us is wise. We’re called to stay alert and prepare thoughtfully for whatever may come.

The best preparation starts with wise resource management. Handle both money and time carefully. Avoid debt whenever possible because debt enslaves the borrower. Stock up on essentials since supply chains can fail suddenly. Diversify your assets; never rely on just one source. Practice situational awareness and stay adaptable, because life can shift in an instant.

Most importantly, regardless of the fact that you might feel the world is crazy, remain calm under pressure. Panic clouds judgment, while peace allows clear decisions. When uncertainty rises, faith, prudence, and composure are our strongest defenses.
